F1 Canadian Grand Prix 2026 results confirmed after FIA penalties shake up final classification… Full detail in the comments

The FIA has officially confirmed the final classification for the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix after reviewing all post-race incidents and penalties from an action-packed weekend in Montreal.

Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli claimed a brilliant victory at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, continuing his impressive form in the 2026 Formula 1 season. The young Italian delivered a calm and dominant performance to finish ahead of Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton, while Red Bull star Max Verstappen completed the podium in third place.

The race featured several dramatic moments, including mechanical failures, on-track battles, and investigations by the FIA stewards. George Russell, who started from pole position after an outstanding qualifying session, suffered heartbreak after retiring from the race due to a late technical problem while fighting for the lead.

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri once again showed strong pace throughout the Grand Prix, securing important points finishes for the team. Ferrari also enjoyed one of their best weekends of the season, with Hamilton finishing second and Charles Leclerc adding more points in sixth place.

Following the race, FIA stewards reviewed multiple incidents involving track limits and racing conduct. Minor penalties and warnings were issued, but no major disqualifications affected the leading positions in the final standings.
