Leeds United supporters are heartbroken that a key player wants to leave the team this summer.

Marc Roca, a midfielder for Leeds United, is happy with his productive loan experience at Real Betis this year and is eager to leave Elland Road to join the La Liga team in the summer. Daniel Farke and the 49ers will soon have to prioritize their impending transfer plans, since Leeds has just one regular season game remaining. Re-entering the Premier League would alleviate numerous issues pertaining to the players who are presently on loan.

While on loan at Real Betis, Marc Roca is arguably playing the best of those from whom Leeds is still waiting for permanent offers. Although he was signed for £10 million, Leeds may easily break even on that cost or even turn a profit if interest is high. However, the Spaniard has acknowledged that the loan contract has evolved in a way that complicates matters for Leeds. He disclosed early in the season that he could choose to prolong his loan for an additional season in the event that Leeds are not promoted back to the Premier League.

In an interview with ABC Sevilla, Roca reiterated his plan to remain in La Liga after the current campaign. But for now, as he stated, the clubs and their officials will decide his future: “I’ve always expressed my happiness at Betis. I’m amazed at how the fans have treated me. Additionally from the staff and my teammates… It seems like I’m having a great season. That is my main concern. It is ultimately up to God, Betis, Leeds, my representative, and the sports management.

For Roca and us, being promoted this season would be fantastic because it would free him up to go wherever the money takes him. Leeds has a valuable asset here that will help to keep us farther away from PSR issues in summertime, so it’s something to think about. After the season, it makes sense for all parties for him to be sold because it is evident that he does not want to stay at Leeds.
