Abdul Fatawu will finalize his permanent transfer to Leicester City following their league-winning campaign. The Ghanaian international signed a loan agreement with the Foxes last summer, and according to O Jogo via SportWitness, the agreement includes an obligatory clause worth €17 million in the event of promotion. Sporting CP will now demand €17 million from Leicester in exchange for the exceptionally gifted winger.

The 20-year-old has been a standout player for Leicester City this year, tallying 12 assists and seven goals in all competitions. With his speed, skill, and ability to find the back of the net, he has shown himself to be a very effective player in the final third. It will be intriguing to observe whether he can have an immediate impact in the Premier League as well.

The Ghanaian international is without a doubt a gifted player with a bright future, and he will be looking to leave his mark in the Premier League. He has what it takes to succeed in the top division in England, and Leicester will be hopeful that he can carry up his stellar play into the upcoming year. The 20-year-old winger will probably become better with coaching and experience. In the upcoming seasons, he may easily justify the investment.

Sporting CP will be required to reimburse Steadfast, who had a sell-on provision in the player’s contract when he relocated to Portugal, for half of the money they get from the English team. Leicester, who performed admirably in the Championship this year, will try to reestablish themselves as a mainstay in the Premier League. It will be intriguing to observe if they can maintain a good standard of play in the top division the following season.
