Two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso endured another frustrating weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix after an unusual cockpit issue forced the veteran driver into an early retirement, deepening Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team’s growing crisis in the 2026 season.
The Spanish star had been hoping for a more competitive outing in Montreal following several difficult races for Aston Martin, but his grand prix quickly turned into another disappointment after problems inside the cockpit made the car nearly impossible to drive comfortably.
Aston Martin’s 2026 campaign has already been filled with setbacks.
