BREAKING: Ferrari has given Lewis Hamilton a New monster to Challenge Mercedes Supremacy at Monaco Grand Prix…Read more

Scuderia Ferrari are heading into the Monaco Grand Prix with growing confidence that they can finally disrupt Mercedes’ recent dominance and reinsert themselves firmly into the Formula 1 title fight.
After showing major signs of progress during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, Ferrari now believe the unique characteristics of the Monaco street circuit could play perfectly into the strengths of their 2026 car. The narrow and twisting nature of the famous Monte Carlo layout is expected to reduce Mercedes’ straight-line advantage while placing greater emphasis on cornering performance and mechanical grip — two areas where Ferrari have improved significantly in recent races.
The renewed optimism within the Italian team comes after an encouraging breakthrough from seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who produced his most competitive display since joining Ferrari. Hamilton’s pace in Canada convinced many observers that Ferrari are beginning to unlock the full potential of both the car and their partnership with the British driver.
Throughout the opening stages of the season, Ferrari struggled to consistently match the pace of Mercedes and Red Bull, particularly on circuits that rewarded outright speed. However, Monaco presents a completely different challenge. Teams must focus heavily on precision, stability and driver confidence around the barriers, making it one of the most technically demanding races on the calendar.
Ferrari insiders reportedly believe Monaco could provide the perfect opportunity for Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc to attack for victory. The team’s improved balance through low-speed corners has strengthened confidence that they can compete much closer to the front than they managed earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team arrive in Monaco under increasing pressure despite their strong recent form. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli continues to impress after a remarkable winning streak, but the Canadian Grand Prix also exposed potential vulnerabilities within the team following George Russell’s retirement due to a power unit issue.
That setback has reopened the championship battle and handed Ferrari fresh belief that Mercedes may not be as untouchable as they previously appeared. Monaco’s unforgiving circuit also leaves very little margin for error, meaning qualifying performance and race strategy could ultimately decide the outcome.
Hamilton himself has remained cautiously optimistic ahead of the race, insisting Ferrari still have work to do before they can consistently fight for wins. Nevertheless, the atmosphere surrounding the team has changed noticeably after Canada, with expectations now growing that Ferrari could emerge as Mercedes’ biggest threat in Monaco.
With the championship battle intensifying and momentum beginning to shift, the Monaco Grand Prix is shaping up to be one of the most important weekends of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
