BREAKING: Lewis Hamilton Takes on Unique New Role Ahead of 2026 Le Mans announcement…Read more

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been linked with an exciting new motorsport project after being announced as part of a special initiative connected to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit.
The legendary endurance event continues to grow in popularity across the motorsport world, especially following Max Verstappen’s increasing involvement in endurance racing over the last year. The Dutchman finally competed in the Nürburgring 24 Hours last weekend, although victory slipped away from his No. 3 team after late disappointment during the event.
Verstappen’s enthusiasm for endurance competition has also influenced several drivers within the Formula 1 paddock. Rising Mercedes star Kimi Antonelli recently admitted he would like to obtain a DMSB Nordschleife permit in the future, despite Mercedes making it clear that the young Italian will not be entering the Nürburgring anytime soon.
While attention around endurance racing has surged thanks to Nürburgring action, another iconic event remains firmly in the spotlight — the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. The historic race, which forms the third round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season, is scheduled to run from June 10 to June 14 this year, creating a calendar clash with Formula 1’s Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix weekend.
Ahead of the famous race, organizers have now confirmed an ambitious new project involving Hamilton. The Ferrari driver has become associated with the launch of a brand-new motorsport museum located at the Le Mans circuit, designed to celebrate the rich history and evolution of racing culture.
The project, known as M24, has been developed through a collaboration between renowned watchmaker Richard Mille and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the organization behind the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The museum aims to provide fans with an immersive experience dedicated to every era of motorsport.
Set to officially open on May 28, the attraction will also be freely accessible to ticket holders attending this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans event in June.
Organizers describe M24 as a place where motorsport can “tell its own story” to both dedicated fans and newcomers alike. Featuring historic cars, rare artifacts, archives and personal stories, the museum promises to showcase more than a century of innovation, passion and courage from across the racing world.
