Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly targeting two key positions to strengthen in the January transfer window, as per the *Daily Mail*. With an additional £77 million available for winter spending, Rodgers aims to bring in a left-sided winger and another striker.
While Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah have been performing exceptionally in attack this season, Rodgers is keen on adding quality backup for the duo. He expressed his preference for a younger player back in August, and Celtic are actively scouting options to meet this requirement.
On the wing, Daizen Maeda has excelled, with James Forrest providing reliable cover. However, the underperformance of Luis Palma might lead to his departure, opening the door for a new signing in that role.
Celtic remain ambitious across multiple competitions. They are strong contenders for the Scottish League Cup final against Rangers on December 15 and lead the Scottish Premiership after 12 games, though Aberdeen poses a significant challenge.
In the Champions League, Celtic are three points away from securing an automatic spot in the round of 16 with one group stage match remaining.
