Daniel Cummings, the highly promising Celtic striker, is set to train with the club’s first team next week, following an impressive start to the season. At just 18, Cummings has scored 20 goals in 18 appearances for the Hoops’ B team. While he is currently on international duty with Scotland’s under-19s, he will return to Celtic and join the first-team squad at Lennoxtown. This opportunity follows the senior debuts given to other young talents by Brendan Rodgers, such as Daniel Kelly and Rocco Vata. Cummings will hope to catch the manager’s eye as Celtic embarks on a demanding run of fixtures ahead of March. His first potential involvement with the first team could come during Celtic’s upcoming match against Hearts, which kicks off at 7:45 pm next Saturday.
