Brendan Rodgers’ CCV Injury Update

Brendan Rodgers provided an update on Cameron Carter-Vickers’ fitness, confirming that the USA international missed Celtic’s match against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on November 10, 2024. The decision to leave him out was precautionary, as Carter-Vickers had recently played three games in quick succession—against Dundee, Aberdeen, and Red Bull Leipzig. Although Carter-Vickers had just returned from injury, Rodgers noted that the fatigue from the intense schedule had caused some discomfort in his hamstring.

Rodgers emphasized that there was no long-term concern, and Carter-Vickers is expected to be fit for Celtic’s upcoming match against Hearts at Tynecastle in 13 days. The manager also acknowledged the importance of managing Carter-Vickers’ minutes throughout the season, given his history of injuries and his crucial role in the team
