Forgotten ex-Rangers player sits in away end during Olympiacos clash as one Celtic factor named ‘devastating’….

Rangers will look to close the gap on Celtic and Aberdeen when they face Hearts at home. Their most recent outing saw them draw 1-1 with Olympiacos in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, Celtic will travel to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock. Here’s a look at some of the latest updates and rumours surrounding the club:

Familiar Face Spotted
Former Rangers player Sean Goss was seen in the away end with the Rangers supporters during their game against Olympiacos on Thursday night, according to S McG on X. The 28-year-old currently plays for Asteras Tripolis in Greece.

Goss, who was born in Germany, had a loan spell at Rangers in 2018, making 15 appearances and scoring two goals. He had previously joined Manchester United from Exeter City as a youngster but never made a first-team appearance for the Red Devils. He later moved to QPR permanently, where he made seven appearances before being loaned out to St Johnstone and Rangers. Goss has also played for Shrewsbury Town and Motherwell before moving abroad in 2023.

Kilmarnock Manager on Celtic’s Threat
Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes has spoken about the challenge of facing Celtic, noting how devastating their speed of play can be. Celtic won 3-1 against RB Leipzig in their last Champions League match.

McInnes shared his thoughts on *The Warm Up Podcast*: “You saw Leipzig, who really pressed Celtic, playing a 4-4-2 out of possession and managed to unsettle them for 10-15 minutes. But Celtic stuck to their game and still got through. Their performance at the moment is very strong, especially in the latter stages of the second half against Leipzig. If they get space, they’ll make the most of it.”

He added, “The speed they play at can be devastating, so we’ve got to limit the chances for them to exploit that. But good players will always find a way through, so we need to stay compact and organised, while still trying to play our game.”

McInnes acknowledged that his players are aware of Celtic’s recent form, including their victory at Hampden and their win on Tuesday night. He said, “The players see how well Celtic are playing, but we have to focus on ourselves and make sure we’re prepared for the challenge.”

Celtic remain top of the table alongside Aberdeen and will be keen to secure another win before the upcoming international break.
