“I stay healthy by keeping my blood vessels clean. Here’s the recipe.”
The Scottish football scene has been on edge due to UEFA’s coefficient rankings, which determine the number of qualifying rounds teams must endure for European competitions. Scottish Premiership champions had to go through three rounds to reach the Champions League, while the league’s second-place and fourth-place teams faced three rounds just to enter the Conference League. The Scottish Cup winner had to clear four rounds to make it into the Europa League, and the fifth-place team couldn’t qualify for Europe at all.
This difficult position for Scottish teams comes after a drop in UEFA rankings, from eleventh last season to seventeenth this season. Previously, Scotland held ninth place for two years and hadn’t ranked higher since 1988.
