Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler is optimistic about the return of key players for their upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester City. Joao Pedro and Matt O’Riley, both sidelined with ankle injuries, are expected to be available for the match. Pedro has been out since sustaining an injury in late September, while O’Riley has not played since his debut in August.
Other Brighton players, including Lewis Dunk, Yankuba Minteh, and Yasin Ayari, are still uncertain but could potentially feature. Hurzeler confirmed Ayari would participate in training and might be an option for the weekend. Solly March, however, is ruled out due to his ongoing recovery.
Brighton will face a Manchester City side currently grappling with three consecutive defeats and missing key players, such as Ballon d’Or winner Rodri. Despite City’s challenges, Hurzeler acknowledges the difficulty of the fixture but sees it as an opportunity for his team to compete against one of the world’s best teams.
