Celtic FC has officially launched their annual Christmas Appeal campaign, marking the club’s 137th anniversary with a £10,000 donation to the Celtic FC Foundation. The Appeal, rooted in the club’s charitable beginnings at St Mary’s in the Calton, seeks to assist those facing hardships during the festive season.
Supporters are encouraged to participate through various initiatives, including donations and special purchases from Celtic’s retail selection, “Walfrid’s Wishlist.” Each item purchased with a Christmas Appeal Snow Globe logo will see proceeds going to the Foundation, along with the net proceeds from a limited edition Celtic FC Foundation T-shirt available online.
The Foundation has planned several fundraising events:
– November 6 – Founding Fathers’ Fast
– November 8 – Virtual Christmas Tree
– November 15 – Celtic Sleep Out in Wicklow
– November 16 – Celtic Sleep Out in Glasgow
– November 20 – December 20** – Christmas Appeal Prize Draw
– November 29 – Ghirls for Good event, sponsored by the Ellen Kane Trust
– December 7 – Christmas Appeal matchday bucket collection during the match against Hibernian
– December 8 – Santa Stroll (1 Mile or 5K)
-December 9 – 16 – Auction of match-worn shirts from the Hibernian game, featuring the Christmas Appeal logo
-December 13– Celtic Sleep Out in London
