Officials Confirmed for Celtic’s Trip to Rugby Park….

The officials have been confirmed for Celtic’s Sunday clash against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Before this domestic fixture, Celtic faces the significant task of a UEFA Champions League tie against RB Leipzig. Following that high-stakes encounter, the Hoops head to Ayrshire, where recent visits to Rugby Park have been challenging. Last season, Celtic played three matches at Kilmarnock’s ground, winning one and losing two. Despite the defeats, that single victory proved crucial, as it clinched the league title for the Bhoys.

On 15th May 2024, at Rugby Park, Joe Hart led Celtic’s celebrations after securing the Scottish Premiership title in a memorable match against Kilmarnock.

This season, Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock side has had mixed results. They recently pulled off a win against Rangers but have also suffered away losses to Ross County and Dundee. Between those defeats, they achieved a solid 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle, highlighting their unpredictability. With their home advantage, Killie will aim to stun the reigning champions once again when they meet on Sunday at 3 pm.

The Scottish Football Association has assigned Nick Walsh as the referee for the game, with David McGeachie and Jonathan Bell as his assistants on the lines. Don Robertson will handle VAR, supported by Andrew McWilliam.

For Celtic, this fixture wraps up a demanding schedule before a much-needed international break. Following this brief rest, the squad will resume their campaign with an away match at Tynecastle, providing a chance to recharge after a busy run of games.
