Tottenham’s rising star Archie Gray, a lifelong Celtic fan, is eagerly looking forward to facing Rangers at Ibrox. The 18-year-old midfielder, who joined Spurs from Leeds United for £30 million under former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, will get his chance when the two clubs clash in the Europa League this December.
Gray has deep Scottish roots—his father Frank and uncle Eddie both represented Scotland internationally, although Gray himself has chosen to play for England. Reflecting on the upcoming match, Gray shared his excitement: “As a Celtic supporter, the Rangers game is always one you look out for. Getting to play at Ibrox is something special, and I can’t wait.”
He recalled attending an Old Firm derby before, though not at Ibrox, and praised the thrilling atmosphere of these games: “They’re brilliant, every single time. Even on TV, they’re amazing to watch.”
Currently, Spurs are well-positioned to advance in the Europa League, with three wins over Qarabag, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar. Their next match will be against Galatasaray on Thursday, while Rangers head to Greece to face Olympiacos.
