Fábio Silva’s summer loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to UD Las Palmas has proven to be a positive experience for the young striker, who expressed his satisfaction with the new environment and team chemistry in La Liga. Silva made a concerted effort to join Las Palmas after finding limited playing time at Wolves under Gary O’Neil last season. His time on loan at Rangers in January provided temporary relief, but with O’Neil’s plans for the current season not including Silva, another loan deal was arranged, this time in Spain.
Although Las Palmas does not have an option to buy him permanently, Silva has not ruled out the possibility of extending his stay there. His primary focus, however, remains on giving his best performance with his current club. The 22-year-old, who is under contract with Wolves until 2026, acknowledges that any long-term decisions will ultimately be up to the Premier League side. Silva has already scored twice in six matches, and he appreciates the camaraderie within the Las Palmas squad, which he credits for helping him perform well individually.
