Texas women’s golf sophomore Farah O’Keefe has been named the SEC Women’s Golfer of the Week following an impressive performance at the Stanford Intercollegiate, where she helped the Longhorns secure a third-place finish. O’Keefe finished tied for third on the individual leaderboard, shooting an impressive 7-under 64 in the final round, which ties the University of Texas program record for the lowest 18-hole score.
Her round included an eagle on the seventh hole and five birdies, three of which came consecutively on holes 12-14. Over the course of the tournament, O’Keefe made a total of 11 birdies and the eagle, finishing at 8-under par, just three shots behind tournament champion Jasmine Koo from Southern California.
O’Keefe, currently ranked No. 17 in the women’s world amateur rankings, had a standout freshman season, earning Big 12 Player of the Year honors for 2023-24. She is also on the ANNIKA Award Watch List, which recognizes the top female collegiate golfer.
