Breaking:Max Verstappen ends frustrating winless run with sprint success at US Grand Prix

Max Verstappen ended his recent winless streak with a dominant performance at the sprint race of the United States Grand Prix, held at the Circuit of the Americas. Leading from start to finish, Verstappen crossed the line 3.8 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, who overtook Lando Norris on the final lap to secure second place. Norris, who had a strong start from fourth on the grid, finished third, ahead of Charles Leclerc.

Despite some hopes from McLaren that Norris might challenge Verstappen, the Dutch driver’s pace was too strong. Norris struggled to keep up and eventually lost second place to Sainz on the last lap, hurting his bid to close the championship gap. George Russell, who started second, saw his race unravel due to tire wear and finished fifth, with Lewis Hamilton finishing sixth. Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the points in seventh and eighth, respectively.

Verstappen’s victory increases his championship lead to 54 points with 172 points still available in the remaining six rounds of the season. The win breaks a streak of eight races without victory for Verstappen, reinforcing his position at the top of the standings.
