Brentford forward **Yoane Wissa** remains a doubt for this weekend’s Premier League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Wissa has missed the last three league games due to an ankle injury and was also absent during the international break, missing DR Congo’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches.
Manager **Thomas Frank** provided an update, stating that Wissa has returned to training on the grass, which is a positive sign, but a decision will be made closer to the match regarding his fitness. Frank said, “I need to find out if he is ready for Saturday or if it is too soon.”
In addition to Wissa, midfielders **Christian Nørgaard** and **Mikkel Damsgaard** are fit and available for selection, while **Mathias Jensen** and **Igor Thiago** will miss the match due to minor issues. Both players are expected to return soon, with Jensen likely to be fit for Brentford’s upcoming game against Ipswich.
Meanwhile, full-back **Rico Henry** is making good progress in his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury. He played 45 minutes in an in-house game but will not be part of the squad for the trip to Manchester United as his recovery continues.
The Bees will be hoping to have Wissa back soon as his pace and attacking presence have been key to Brentford’s attacking play this season.
