Report:How all 10 Rangers players fared on international duty as one fringe man provides two assists

Rangers players have returned from international duty ahead of a crucial Premiership match against Kilmarnock this weekend. Philippe Clement’s squad saw ten players represent their countries, with varying degrees of success. Here’s a breakdown of how they fared:

Vaclav Cerny (Czech Republic): Played key roles in both a 2-0 win against Albania and a 1-1 draw with Ukraine, putting his team at the top of their Nations League group.

Nedim Bajrami (Albania): Played 88 minutes in a loss to the Czech Republic but provided an assist in Albania’s 1-0 win over Georgia.

Ianis Hagi (Romania)**: Came off the bench in two matches, helping Romania secure victories over Cyprus and Lithuania to top their group.

Mohamed Diomande (Ivory Coast): Featured as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Sierra Leone after being an unused sub in the 4-1 win against the same team.

John Souttar (Scotland): Delivered a standout performance against Portugal, earning a man-of-the-match honor in a 0-0 draw after playing in a narrow 2-1 loss to Croatia.

Scotland U21s (Connor Barron, Leon King, Lewis Budinauckas, Robbie Fraser): Barron and Budinauckas played full matches in losses to Belgium and Kazakhstan, ending Scotland’s European Championship qualification hopes. King and Fraser did not feature.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo (Netherlands U21s): Came off the bench against Mexico and started in a 3-0 win over Sweden, where he contributed two assists as the Netherlands completed their qualifying campaign with a perfect record.

These players are now back at Auchenhowie as Rangers prepare for a tricky visit to Kilmarnock’s Rugby Park.
