Fulham has made a concerted effort to facilitate Raúl Jiménez’s swift return to the club, also aiding Crystal Palace and Leeds United in the process.
According to TUDN in Mexico, Fulham arranged a private jet for the 33-year-old to come back to London.
On Wednesday, the striker scored one goal and provided an assist for Mexico in their 2-0 friendly victory over the United States in Mexico City. Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, along with Crystal Palace goalkeeper Matt Turner and Leeds United’s Brenden Aaronson, all started for the U.S. team.
Fulham is set to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, while Leeds will host Sheffield United in the Championship a day later. Crystal Palace will play against Nottingham Forest on Monday evening.
This season, Jiménez has netted four goals in nine appearances for Fulham and is crucial for Marco Silva’s side ahead of their match against the Villans. Thus, the club wanted him to board the jet to London as soon as possible.
TUDN reports that he was accompanied by Robinson, Turner, Aaronson, Cardiff City’s Ethan Horvath, Norwich City’s Joshua Sargent, and Coventry City’s Haji Wright on the private flight arranged by Fulham.
These players returned to the UK on Thursday morning to rejoin their respective teams.
