Latest Update:Newcastle United double training ground injury boost ahead of Brighton as key man misses out

Newcastle United are set to be bolstered by the return of key strikers Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson as they prepare to face Brighton & Hove Albion at St James’ Park on Saturday. According to reports, both players are expected to rejoin training ahead of the Premier League clash following the international break.

Isak has missed Newcastle’s last three matches due to a broken toe. The Swedish striker, who scored 25 goals for the club last season, has only managed to score once in his first six matches this campaign. Meanwhile, Wilson, who hasn’t featured this season due to a back injury suffered over the summer, is also expected to return. Despite being plagued by injuries in 2024, the 32-year-old has maintained an impressive scoring record for Newcastle, with 47 goals in 69 Premier League starts since joining from Bournemouth in 2020 .

Their return will be a significant boost for Newcastle’s attacking options, as the team has struggled to find the back of the net from open play in recent weeks.
