Kieran Trippier, Alexander Isak, Callum Wilson: Newcastle United injury news ahead of Brighton clash

Newcastle United are hopeful of welcoming back several key players ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on October 19. Alexander Isak, who missed the last three matches due to a broken toe, is expected to be fit enough to feature in some capacity. Similarly, Callum Wilson is in contention to return after an extended absence with a back injury.

Other doubts include Matt Targett, who has been dealing with an eczema flare-up but is back in training, and Lewis Miley, who is recovering from a foot injury. However, Newcastle will be without Kieran Trippier (hamstring), Martin Dubravka (unspecified), Sven Botman (ACL), and Jamaal Lascelles (ACL) for the match.

On Brighton’s side, Fabian Hurzeler will be managing several injury concerns. Adam Webster (thigh), Jan Paul van Hecke (groin), and Matt O’Riley (ankle) are all ruled out. There are doubts over James Milner (hamstring), Solly March (knee), and Joao Pedro (ankle), but the latter two could return to the squad after the international break.

Both teams have started the season well, and this match will have significant implications for the race for European spots.
