Celtic fans won’t have to endure the usual international break without seeing their team in action, as Celtic is set to play a mid-season friendly against Sligo Rovers tonight. This marks their first visit to Sligo since 1975, and a sold-out crowd will welcome the Scottish champions at The Showgrounds. The match kicks off at 7:30 PM.
Although many key players are on international duty, Celtic will still field a strong squad. New signing Luke McCowan is particularly eager to make an impact. With Brendan Rodgers managing a reduced squad due to injuries and absences, fringe players like Odin Thiago Holm and Maik Nawrocki are expected to feature.
Unfortunately, the game won’t be broadcast on TV, but fans can stream it live via League of Ireland TV for a fee of €10.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor remain sidelined with injuries, while Alistair Johnston has withdrawn from Canada’s squad.
