Despite being sacked five times during the New York Jets’ 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 4, he reassured fans that he would be fine for the upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings. Although Rodgers mentioned feeling “a little banged up” and that his knee was “a little swollen,” he confirmed he was cleared to play by Saturday .
The Jets have taken precautionary measures by calling up backup quarterback Adrian Martinez from the practice squad, which has led to some speculation about Rodgers’ condition. Coach Robert Saleh indicated that while there’s concern over his quarterback’s knee, the situation isn’t serious . Tyrod Taylor is also available as an option should Rodgers be unable to play .
