The 78th Motocross of Nations will take place at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, from October 3-5, 2025.

“We are proud to bring the 78th edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations to the USA in 2025,” said David Luongo, CEO of Infront Moto Racing. “We will head to the fantastic Ironman Raceway, known for its challenging layout and rich history in American Motocross. This marks a new milestone in the great partnership between Infront Moto Racing and MX Sports. I want to thank Carrie Russell Coombs, Davey Coombs, Tim Cotter from MX Sports, and their entire team for making this joint project a reality. I would also like to thank the city of Crawfordsville for their support of this event, which will draw the attention of the international motocross community to the region. The MXoN is always a special event where riders compete not just for themselves, but for their countries. The pride, emotion, and intensity of this race is palpable. We anticipate an unforgettable atmosphere, with American fans and fans from around the world coming together to celebrate this amazing sport. Thank you to everyone involved, and we can’t wait to see you all at Ironman Raceway for what promises to be one of the most exciting and memorable editions of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations.”

“I’ve been a lifelong fan of the Motocross of Nations, going back to the early days of Team USA,” said Davey Coombs, CEO of MX Sports. “When our parents, Dave and Rita Coombs, hosted a 125cc U.S. Grand Prix in 1987, their ultimate goal was to one day host the MXoN. Although it didn’t happen during my father’s lifetime, we continued to support it wholeheartedly as other top U.S. tracks like Unadilla, Budds Creek, Thunder Valley, and more recently, RedBud, had their opportunity. Now, with the support of Infront and the entire Crawfordsville, Indiana community, along with our fellow promoters of AMA Pro Motocross and Monster Energy Supercross, the FIM, and the AMA, it’s finally our chance to host this prestigious event. The previous MXoN races in the U.S. have set a high standard, and we look forward to raising the bar even further next October at Ironman Raceway.”

Traditionally, Ironman serves as the series finale, but in 2025, it has been rescheduled to accommodate the new calendar.

MX Sports released the following statement:

Now the fantastic Ironman Raceway joins that prestigious list. The track is named after the late GNCC ATV Champion Bob ‘Ironman’ Sloan, who was from the area and inspired the creation of both the motocross circuit and the nearby off-road enduro facility. The surrounding land is large and flat, ideal for camping and parking, but the track itself is full of major elevation changes, featuring some of the steepest and most challenging uphill sections in American Motocross, including the famous Godzilla step-up. These features promise an exciting and challenging lap for the world’s best riders.

The USA holds the record for the most team victories in the history of the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, with 23 wins, despite only fully joining the competition in the 1970s. The first Motocross of Nations in the USA was held at Unadilla in 1987, during a period of dominance for the American team. Additional home victories came in 2007 at Budds Creek, 2010 at Lakewood, and in 2022 at RedBud, which avenged the only American loss on home soil to Team France in 2018, also at RedBud.

Ironman Raceway has hosted a round of the AMA National Motocross Championship annually since 2014, and has served as the season finale seven times. American Eli Tomac secured his first two National 450cc titles at the venue, while Australian Jett Lawrence clinched his first two US 250cc titles there and completed his perfect 450cc season in 2023, with his brother Hunter Lawrence winning the 250cc title on the same day. KTM’s Chase Sexton also claimed his National title at Ironman this year.

MXGP fans will recognize Ironman Raceway as the site of Jeffrey Herlings’ famous double win in 2017, with other ‘Nations’ riders like Ken Roczen, Jo Shimoda, Tom Vialle, and Dylan Ferrandis also having earned victories there. Aaron Plessinger, a 2024 Team USA rider, has won twice at Ironman in the 250cc class, but Tomac and Jett Lawrence are tied for the most National wins at the circuit with three each.

Motocross fans from around the globe are expected to gather in the American Midwest for the first weekend of October next year. The Motocross of Nations brings unmatched passion, pride, and patriotism to off-road motorcycling events! Keep an eye out for ticket announcements online and secure your spot for what is set to be one of the greatest Monster Energy Motocross of Nations ever!

Antonio Alia Portela, FIM/CMS Director: “It feels like just yesterday we were last in the US for the MXoN that brought so much glory for Team USA. Strong new connections were forged during that event, further strengthening the friendship between the two sides of the Atlantic. Thanks to the desire to enhance this bond, IMR, MX Sports, and Feld have come together to present the 78th edition of MXoN at the historic Ironman Raceway in 2025. It goes without saying that not only will the venue and facilities meet the FIM standards required for such an event, but the energy and support from FIM and AMA staff will ensure an incredible atmosphere. This MXoN will create an unforgettable experience for fans from all over the world, gathered to witness the best motocross riders on the planet.”

Mayor Todd Barton of Crawfordsville, Indiana: “We are incredibly excited to host the 2025 Motocross of Nations at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville. We can’t wait to welcome teams and fans from around the world to our community, and we are already working hard to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our visitors.”
