Celtic could build multi-club network as new documents emerge - Keith Wyness

Speaking on the latest episode of *Football Insider*’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old—who was CEO at Aberdeen from 2000 to 2004, with further tenures at Everton and Aston Villa before moving into football consultancy—argued that both Celtic and Rangers should look into expanding their club networks.

The Scottish champions’ 2023-24 accounts, posted on 16 September, showed an increase in year-end cash from £72.3 million in 2022-23 to £77.2 million last season. Revenue also rose to a new club-record £124.6 million, a 3.9% increase from the previous year.

Celtic’s participation in the revamped Champions League is expected to provide another significant financial boost this season.

Wyness pointed to the success of English clubs such as Manchester City, Brighton, and Crystal Palace, who have benefited from multi-club ownership in recent years.
