Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hasn’t had the most stellar start to the NFL season, with his recent performances not quite living up to the $240 million contract extension he signed, which makes him the highest-paid quarterback in history.
Prescott recently spoke to reporters about the team’s slow start and his personal performance. He described his play so far as “solid,” but believes his best is still to come. “I’m playing solid football. If you look at all four games, there are one or two plays I’d like to take back,” Prescott said. “I’m definitely on the verge of playing my best, and I feel like I’m getting there.”
The Cowboys currently hold a 2-2 record after four games, with one loss being a 44-19 defeat by the New Orleans Saints. They are set to face the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
It won’t be an easy game for the Cowboys, as they’ll be without key players—linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, and wide receiver Brandin Cooks—who are all sidelined due to injuries. Despite this, Prescott remains positive: “A 2-2 record isn’t acceptable for us. We need to find ways to win, starting this Sunday, and focus on taking it one game at a time,” he said.
