SAD NEWS: Leeds star out until January due to serous injury

Leeds United have suffered a significant setback with the injury to midfielder Ethan Ampadu, who is expected to be out of team training for 10 weeks. The 24-year-old sustained a lateral ligament injury in Leeds’ 3-0 victory over Coventry City on 30 September, being substituted in the 41st minute of the game. Leeds manager Daniel Farke confirmed the diagnosis during a press conference, noting that Ampadu won’t need surgery, but conservative treatment will be required to aid his recovery .

This is a major blow for Leeds, as Ampadu has been a key player, starting all seven of the team’s Championship matches this season. His presence was equally vital last season, where he featured in 46 league games under Farke. Leeds are currently pushing for promotion to the Premier League after narrowly missing out in the Championship play-off final last season .
