Javier Guitian, a 27-year-old footballer for Asturias-based non-league team San Jorge de Llanes, tragically passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack. The incident occurred as Guitian was driving home following a pre-season friendly against Urraca. After feeling ill behind the wheel, he pulled over and collapsed upon exiting his vehicle near the La Xagarda restaurant in Asturias. Emergency services responded and spent an hour attempting to resuscitate him, but he could not be saved. The football community, including his club, has since paid tribute to Guitian, mourning his loss .
