SAD NEWS: Celtic 22-year-old fan died after attending the club’s premiership match against St. Johnstone

John Burns, a 22-year-old Celtic fan from Glasgow, tragically died after being hit by a vehicle on the M6 near junction 42 in Cumbria on Saturday. Burns had reportedly boarded the wrong bus following Celtic’s match against Hearts in Glasgow. The incident occurred shortly after 8:00 PM, leading to his untimely death.

Burns was a father to a young boy and was deeply loved by his family and friends. Fellow Celtic fans are planning a tribute in his honor, with a minute’s applause set for the 23rd minute of Wednesday’s Champions League game against Slovan Bratislava.

Police in Cumbria are seeking any witnesses or those with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the accident. They are appealing for information related to the incident, particularly between 7:50 PM and 8:10 PM on Saturday.
