‘A bad 15 minutes’ – Oliver Glasner pinpoints spell where Crystal Palace fell to defeat at Everton

Crystal Palace manager **Oliver Glasner** expressed his frustration after his team’s 2-1 defeat to **Everton** at **Goodison Park**. Palace took an early lead through **Marc Guehi** after a well-placed cross from **Maxence Lacroix**, but a poor 15-minute spell at the beginning of the second half allowed Everton to turn the game around.

**Dwight McNeil** scored twice for the home side, with his first coming just two minutes into the second half after **Daichi Kamada** lost possession. McNeil curled in a long-range shot past Palace goalkeeper **Dean Henderson**. He added a second goal in the 54th minute from a tight angle after a cross from **Jack Harrison**.

Glasner highlighted the team’s defensive lapses during this period, noting that the goals were a result of failing to clear set pieces properly and allowing Everton to regain momentum. Despite Palace controlling much of the first half, the team’s inability to respond to Everton’s intensity after halftime was key to their downfall.

This loss extended Crystal Palace’s winless run to six Premier League games at the start of the season. In contrast, **Everton** secured their first three points of the campaign.
