The fiery match between Brighton and Nottingham Forest at the Amex Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw, but the spotlight turned to off-pitch drama when both managers, Brighton’s Fabian Hürzeler and Forest’s Nuno Espírito Santo, were sent off for their heated behavior.
The game saw Chris Wood and Ramon Sosa score for Nottingham Forest, while Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck found the net for Brighton. However, tensions boiled over late in the match after Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White received a second yellow card for a challenge on Joao Pedro. The referee, Rob Jones, dismissed both managers due to their aggressive reactions following the incident.
Forest initially took the lead with Wood converting a penalty, but Brighton responded with Hinshelwood’s header and a Welbeck free-kick to go into halftime ahead. Forest leveled the match after halftime when substitutes Jota Silva and Sosa combined, with the latter scoring his first Premier League goal.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, Forest nearly clinched a winner in the dying moments, but Sosa’s late attack didn’t materialize into a goal for Callum Hudson-Odoi. Both teams remain unbeaten but missed the chance to break into the top four.
