SAD NEW: Celtic Midfielder ‘s son found dead in pool

Celtic Remain Cautious with Callum McGregor as Brendan Rodgers Confirms Captain’s Recovery Isn’t Complete**

Celtic’s manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed caution regarding captain Callum McGregor’s return to full fitness, stating that he’s “not out of the woods yet,” despite coming off the bench during last weekend’s 3-3 draw against Rangers. McGregor, who missed five weeks due to an Achilles injury, including Scotland’s Euro 2024 warm-up games against the Netherlands and Northern Ireland, is still being closely monitored.

Rodgers praised McGregor for his determination, noting that his return was sooner than expected. The midfielder had only participated in a few training sessions before the match but worked hard to make himself available. Although McGregor looked good in recent training sessions, Rodgers emphasized that missing over a month of action impacts match fitness.

McGregor is set to be available for Celtic’s upcoming game against St Mirren, though Daizen Maeda has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, and Liam Scales will also miss the match due to a minor strain.
