Celtic delivered an impressive performance at a packed Celtic Park on Wednesday night, dominating Slovan Bratislava 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League. Five different players found the back of the net for Celtic, but it was Liam Scales who stole the spotlight, earning UEFA’s Man of the Match award.
The Irish defender was solid at the back and opened the scoring with a powerful header from an Arne Engels corner. After the match, Scales praised his teammates, particularly Engels, in an interview with TNT.
Looking ahead, Scales is eager to push for more points in the revamped Champions League format, noting the challenges of the competition. He also shared that his Man of the Match award will be proudly displayed on his mantelpiece.
