Done deal:Sunderland Sign new goalkeeper on free transfer

Plymouth Argyle will host Sunderland at Home Park this Saturday afternoon in the Championship, following the signing of free agent goalkeeper Marko Marosi. The move comes as a response to the injury of first-choice keeper Conor Hazard, who is sidelined for three months after undergoing ankle surgery. Dan Grimshaw is expected to start in goal, with Marosi providing competition and backup.

Manager Wayne Rooney expressed satisfaction with the acquisition, highlighting Marosi’s experience and ability to challenge for the starting position. Marosi, who previously played for Shrewsbury Town, Coventry City, and Doncaster Rovers, will be eligible for selection this weekend, pending EFL approval.

Argyle’s Director of Football Neil Dewsnip praised Marosi’s EFL experience, noting his nearly 250 games played, and welcomed him as a valuable addition to the squad
