Stoke City present five players to come back into the squad against Oxford match

Stoke City are gearing up for their upcoming Championship match against Oxford United, with manager Steven Schumacher weighing several lineup changes. After the 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle, the squad will see at least one change as Ryan Mmaee has transferred to Rapid Vienna. Five players, including deadline day signings Tom Cannon and Tatsuki Seko, are set to return to the squad, alongside Jordan Thompson, Enda Stevens, and Michael Rose, who have all been increasing their training intensity.

Cannon, a 21-year-old forward on loan from Leicester City, is expected to lead the attack. With competition fierce for his signature over the summer, he will be keen to prove his goal-scoring capabilities at this level. Schumacher also faces tough decisions regarding squad rotation, especially with several players returning from international duty.

Lewis Koumas, on loan from Liverpool, made his first senior competitive start for Wales, while Sol Sidibe impressed off the bench at Plymouth and has since featured for England U18s. Defender Ashley Phillips has been with the England U20s, and Viktor Johansson, Andrew Moran, and Million Manhoef have also been away with their respective national teams.
