Senegalese footballer Pape Souaré, who plays for Crystal Palace, narrowly survived a serious car accident on the M4 motorway near Heathrow Airport, England. The crash occurred around 12:10 pm on Sunday and involved a two-car collision. Souaré’s Mercedes G63 collided with the central reservation, causing significant damage.
The 26-year-old defender had to be airlifted to a hospital in East London after being cut out of the wrecked vehicle. He sustained injuries to his thigh and jawbone and remains hospitalized as he receives treatment.
Crystal Palace confirmed the incident, expressing their concern for Souaré’s well-being and wishing him a speedy recovery. The club is closely monitoring his progress in the hospital.
Souaré, who joined Crystal Palace from Lille in 2015, has made three Premier League appearances this season and has played 56 times for the club overall. The football community and fans are hopeful for his swift recovery.
