Alvaro Morata’s debut for AC Milan came with mixed emotions. While he managed to score and play a crucial role in the match against Torino, the striker unfortunately sustained a quadriceps injury that will sideline him for two to three weeks. This injury not only affects his availability for Milan’s upcoming Serie A matches against Parma and Lazio but also rules him out of Spain’s Nations League games.
Morata’s injury was aggravated during the final half-hour of the game, where he already felt discomfort, which later developed into a more serious issue. As a result, he will miss Spain’s Nations League clash against Serbia on 5 September due to suspension, and he is unlikely to recover in time for the match against Switzerland on 8 September.
With Morata out, AC Milan will likely turn to Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor to fill the void in the forward position during his absence. Morata’s return is expected after the September international break, allowing him time to recover fully before rejoining both club and country.
