St Helens have received some bad news with three players getting injured before their match against Wigan Warriors on Saturday. As a result, coach Paul Wellens has had to make four changes to the squad that won against Salford Red Devils last weekend. Mark Percival, Lewis Dodd, and Daryl Clark will all be out of action for a few weeks due to injuries sustained in the previous game. Percival has injured his Achilles and is expected to be out for four to six weeks, while Dodd and Clark are facing a similar timeframe for their recovery. Dodd injured his elbow, while Clark has a foot fracture. In addition, Morgan Knowles is serving a two-match suspension from Round 21. This means that four young players will have the chance to step up, including George Delaney, who is returning from a brief injury spell. Jonny Vaughan, who has been in and out of the squad recently and has been playing for dual-registration partners Swinton Lions, is also in contention to make a comeback. Halfback Will Roberts and forward Leon Cowen have also been named in the team, and if selected, they will make their official St Helens and Super League debuts at Elland Road.
