Sky Sports: Ipswich Town now want to sign new £150,000-per-week “monster”

Ipswich Town is reportedly keen on acquiring a new player with a salary of £150,000 per week, as per an update from Sky Sports.

The past two years at Portman Road have been remarkable under the leadership of manager Kieran McKenna, who has successfully guided the Tractor Boys from League One to the Premier League in consecutive seasons.

The achievement of back-to-back automatic promotions has set the stage for Ipswich’s return to the top tier, commencing with a match against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon. In light of the club’s ascent, there is a pressing need for new signings to ensure their survival in the Premier League, with over £60 million already invested in six new players.

The most recent addition to the squad is full-back Conor Townsend, who expressed his enthusiasm upon joining: “I’m delighted to be here. Playing in the Premier League again presents a significant challenge for me, and such opportunities are rare, so I eagerly accepted the chance.

“The transfer process unfolded swiftly, and I am eager to begin. I have had positive discussions with the Manager, and he comes highly recommended by others, which makes me look forward to working with him. I faced Ipswich twice last season, and both matches were quite challenging. The team’s accomplishments last season were remarkable, and I am thrilled to now be a part of it.”
