According to a claim in the Swedish media, Celtic are showing an interest in Hammarby IF midfielder Bazoumana Toure as Brendan Rodgers looks to add to his squad this summer.

Fotboll Direkt today report Celtic recently sent scouts over to Sweden for the game between Hammarby and Brommapojkarna. The 18-year-old has also attracted attention from Crystal Palace, with reports suggesting that the English club is also keen on the player. According to Fotboll Direkt, Celtic recently dispatched scouts to Sweden to watch Toure in action during a match between Hammarby and Brommapojkarna. The Scottish club is said to be seriously considering making a move for the young midfielder based on their observations.

There are no reports of whether Celtic plan to enter into transfer talks to sign Toure, but they will face competition after reports he’s been followed by other clubs.

Toure has participated in eight league matches this season, finding the back of the net three times. His current contract with Hammarby runs until June 2028.
