Steven Alzate has received interest from clubs in Italy, Spain, Belgium, MLS, and Saudi Arabia after leaving Brighton, according to sources from Football Insider.
The 25-year-old midfielder is now a free agent after his contract with the Premier League club expired earlier this summer.
Celta Vigo, Espanyol, and Leganes in Spain, as well as several Serie A sides, have shown interest in signing the Colombian international. Additionally, MLS teams LAFC and San Jose Earthquakes, as well as Belgian clubs Genk and Club Brugge, have also expressed interest in Alzate.
Alzate spent the last two seasons in Belgium with Standard Liege, where he made 54 appearances and scored five goals. He also had a loan spell at Swindon Town, making 26 appearances and scoring three goals.
Having come through Brighton’s youth system, Alzate made 51 appearances and scored three goals for the first team but was unable to secure a regular starting position. He was then loaned out to Standard Liege before being released at the end of last season.
