Dele Alli’s contract with Everton expired this summer, but he is still training with the team as he continues to recover from injury. The 28-year-old is no longer a player for Everton after his contract ended last month. However, he has been given the opportunity to continue his rehabilitation from a long-term groin injury at Finch Farm and has returned to the Halewood complex for the club’s pre-season training. He has also been part of the training squad that went to Ireland for the club’s pre-season camp. In light of his progress, talks have been held between Everton and his former club Tottenham Hotspur regarding a potential return. The club has been working to address a clause in the original deal that could have prevented them from re-signing Dele, and it seems that some progress has been made on that front.
