Celtic have rejected a derisory offer from Atalanta for Matt O’Riley.

Celtic have turned down a low offer from Atalanta for Matt O’Riley. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Celtic are holding out for around £30m for the player. Romano has also mentioned that the two teams are in talks for a potential deal. Atalanta is demanding €60m for Teun Koopmeiners, who is also being pursued by Juventus and Liverpool. Celtic should stand firm and only consider an offer for their star midfielder that reflects his true value to the team.

O’Riley has been in excellent form during pre-season, continuing his strong performances from last season. He scored two goals while wearing the captain’s armband in a 4-0 victory over DC United earlier today.

Celtic will be looking to conduct transfer business in the coming days, focusing on bringing in new players and offloading those who are no longer needed.
