ATLÉTICO MADRID ARE READY TO MAKE A €30 MILLION OFFER

According to reports from Bild, Atlético Madrid is prepared to submit a €30 million bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug.

Recent discussions had indicated that AC Milan was in talks with the German player for a potential transfer to the San Siro. However, Atlético seems poised to outpace the Italian club in securing Füllkrug’s services this upcoming season.

Internally, the decision to acquire the 31-year-old forward has already been made, along with the agreed transfer fee of €30 million. This move would result in BvB nearly doubling their initial investment in Füllkrug, whom they acquired for €17 million just last summer.

As per the report, Atlético is in search of a replacement for Álvaro Morata, who recently moved to AC Milan. Manager Diego Simeone is reportedly impressed by Füllkrug’s goal-scoring prowess and envisions him making a significant impact off the bench for Atlético, much like he did for Germany during Euro 2024.

Nevertheless, Atlético is considering including performance-based bonuses as part of the deal. While Dortmund is reportedly open to selling Füllkrug this summer, it remains uncertain whether they are seeking a fixed transfer fee.
