Day with the Stanley Cup: Matthew Tkachuk visited a children’s hospital

Following their victory in the Stanley Cup on June 24, Florida Panthers players have been given the opportunity to spend a day with the prestigious trophy in rotation.

Each player has the freedom to do as they please with the trophy and take it wherever they wish for the day.

Regrettably, Kyle Okposo was unable to enjoy his day with the Stanley Cup yesterday, as it was in St. Louis due to the Microsoft blackout that led to the cancellation of several flights.

You may be curious as to why the Stanley Cup was in St. Louis. It was there for the day with Matthew Tkachuk’s Cup.

The star forward of the Florida Panthers chose to bring the Stanley Cup to his hometown, where his roots lie.

The highlight of Matthew Tkachuk’s day was his decision to take the Cup to a children’s hospital in St. Louis.

It was a wonderful gesture on Tkachuk’s part, as he could have done countless other things with the Cup, but he chose to go and bring joy to the children in his Missouri community.

The Panthers’ number 19 also made a stop at his old high school in St. Louis to showcase the Stanley Cup.
