Breaking News: Rangers about to welcome new winger

To bring back the support of Rangers’ Rangers’ supporters, a significant signing of Philippe Clement from a top team would be an excellent beginning.

The issue on the right side of the pitch has been unresolved for years, with Abdallah Sima being the team’s closest look-out, and the Senegal international could return to Ibrox next season if the current manager manages to pull it off.

However, Rangers are struggling financially, yet they have an opportunity to sign a player who was recently “invited” and for whom, a transfer fee of £5.5 million could seem like a steal.

Luca Langoni, according to a Spanish sports website, El Crack Deportivo, has been informed that his position in the team is not secure.

The 22-year-old has played in the final of the Copa Libertadores and the latest match of Boca Juniors in the Copa Sudamericana, which is rather odd considering his name is on the transfer list.

A sports commentator from Argentina, Horacio Pagani, has previously mentioned that Langoni could rise to the top:

“Langoni is destined for greatness, following in the footsteps of Julián Álvarez. His bold playing style sets him apart. He has the skill and determination to score goals.”

“He’s as agile as Graciani, Alfredo’s skills were exceptional, and Langoni shows great potential. Langoni’s knack for scoring goals is impressive.”

Teams in MLS have shown interest in Langoni, and Rangers would do a great deal to keep him if his release clause were set at more than this amount.

While Langoni is able to defeat opponents one-on-one and has a lot of speed, it’s his talent in scoring goals and his knack for getting into the right position at the right moment that is appealing.

Over the last couple of years, Langoni has faced multiple hamstring injuries, but he seems to be fully recovered and is eager to kickstart his career once again, despite the potential hurdles.

Boca Juniors extended Langoni’s current deal just a few months back, indicating they had considered him for the future.

The recruitment manager has cast a wider net for players in recent times, and an opportunity to sign from South America could only be beneficial for the club.

The recruitment manager has to convince the team that living close to the Premier League across the border is an advantage.

Considering the high fees spent on players like Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers in the past summer or Ryan Kent in 2019, £5 million for such a talented and established young player seems like a bargain.

It’s certainly a deal below what has been offered to lesser players in the past
