Aston Villa is set to secure the services of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana for a club record fee of £50 million this upcoming weekend, as reported by the UK Sun.
Unai Emery, the current manager of Aston Villa, successfully outbid Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the race to acquire the 22-year-old midfielder.
Onana had attracted interest from Arsenal and Newcastle in the past.
The Belgian player has agreed to the terms of a five-year contract with the club.
Upon his return from a short break following his participation in the Euro 2024 with Belgium, Onana will undergo a medical examination with Aston Villa.
A few years ago, Onana made the switch from Lille to Everton in a transfer worth £33 million.
