Breaking News: 23-year-old star will be a Leeds player next season if Farke gets his way

Daniel Farke, manager of Leeds United, is set on recruiting Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United for the upcoming season.
The Yorkshire club has previously received two bids for Bogle, but they were both turned down.
Following his departure, Wilfried Gnonto might join Leeds Road after his interest from Everton was sparked again.

Should Daniel Farke succeed, Jayden Bogle is expected to be part of the Leeds United team next season, as reported by Leeds Live.

After losing their academy star Archie Gray to Tottenham, Leeds United are in need of a right-back position as they prepare for their second season in the EFL Championship, following their disappointing exit from the Premier League in the play-off against Southampton.

With Welsh international Conor Roberts coming back to Burnley and long-standing player Luke Ayling moving to Middlesbrough last January, Leeds United is looking to strengthen their defense by adding new players, including Jayden Bogle, who is attracting interest from Sheffield United.

Bogle, who joined Sheffield United in 2020 with Max Lowe from Derby County, has played 88 games for the team in the Premier League and the Championship. Now, following their promotion the previous season, Bogle has the chance to start his Bramall Lane career in the Premier League with a match against Brighton, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Bogle is known for his speed and ball handling skills, playing either at the back as a defender or further forward, contributing significantly with his energy and direct play.

This kind of skillset could be a match for Leeds United, as they have traditionally leaned on their full-backs for attacking opportunities, benefiting from players like Ayling and Gray.

With an additional £40 million cash available after selling 18-year-old Gray to Tottenham, Leeds may be in a position to acquire a young, more affordable option for Bogle, who is being sought after by Sheffield United for £7 million, as reported by Leeds Live. However, Farke’s team has already received two bids around £4 million that were rejected.

Alan Nixon had previously mentioned that there was a significant gap in the worth the two teams had assigned to the player. However, The Athletic have given a new update revealing that Leeds are still interested in him.

Additionally, 20-year-old winger Wilfried Gnonto, who was rumored to be considering leaving Elland Road this summer, has caught the attention of Everton again this year, as reported by Paul Joyce.

Gnonto, who was born in 2003, signed with Premier League club Leeds United in 2022 for a contract-bound fee with a Swiss club, Zurich. He has since made more than 60 appearances for the team across both the Premier League and the Championship.

Initially, Gnonto refused to play for Leeds towards the start of the 23/24 season with the hope of convincing Everton to move back to the Premier League, but later made amends with the new manager and got back on the field, scoring in a game that ended in a 4-3 victory over Ipswich Town, who ultimately clinched the promotion.

Now, with Leeds set to play another season in the second division, there are growing speculations about Gnonto’s future with the team, as more people look for an opportunity to make a transfer deal with him this summer.
